Due to the Federal Court ruling in Florida, the order requiring masks on public transportation has ended. Effective immediately, employees, passengers and visitors of the Westmoreland County Transit Authority (WCTA) are no longer required to wear masks or face coverings.
It is important to understand that the CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks on public transportation vehicles and in stations. We ask our riders to please support and respect those who wish to continue to wear face masks when using transit, as some employees or community members may have health issues or personal preferences that warrant the continued use of masks.
Thank you to our transit community for doing your part to keep everyone safe on board the buses by wearing a face mask during the TSA mask mandate period.
