How to Read a Bus Schedule
- When reading a bus schedule, know where you want to go and what time you want to get there.
- Make sure you have the correct schedule for your destination and starting point. You may have to transfer from one bus to another if there is no direct route to your destination.
- Look for the day of the week on which you want to travel. Some routes operate Monday through Friday. Saturday service is available on certain routes.
- Determine your direction of travel. Example: Greensburg to Jeannette or Jeannette to Greensburg
- Find your destination on the schedule and look across the row, reading left to right like a book to find the time you wish to arrive.
- Find your starting point on the schedule. Work backwards from your destination to your starting point to figure out when you need to catch the bus.
- Important! The times listed on the bus schedules are departing times- it is a good idea to arrive at the bus stop at least 5 minutes early.

Transfers:
You may have to transfer from one bus to another if there is no direct route to your destination. These transfers are available free to WCTA riders to change from one WCTA bus route to another. If you need a transfer, please ask your Operator when you board your first bus. You will pay your fare and be given a transfer coupon. This transfer coupon will be used to pay your fare when you board your connecting bus. Transfers are only valid on the date the transfer is issued, for up to two hours from the time it is issued.
Passengers can use a transfer to change from one WCTA route to another, but a passenger may not use a transfer to pay for a return trip. Let's all have a safe and enjoyable ride!

Passes
Westmoreland Transit offers a Monthly Pass at a 20% discount off of regular fare, and a 10-Trip Pass at a 10% discount off of regular fare.
10-Trip Pass
This pass is a punch ticket valid for 10 one-way trips. It can be used at any time and has no expiration date.

Refund Policy
- No cash refunds are given.
- No refunds of lost or stolen tickets.
- No refunds on any activated or partially used tickets.
- No refund will be made because the patron is no longer using WCTA's services.
- Unused tickets on WCTA's Mobile Ticketing App expire after 90 days. WCTA Customer Service must be contacted prior to expiration or tickets will not be extended.

WestMore Tix is the official mobile ticketing app for Westmoreland Transit!
WestMore Tix enables you to purchase and display tickets on your smartphone anytime, anywhere. You can download the free app from the App Store or Google Play. Tickets can be purchased to use on the day of travel, or stored in the secure mobile wallet for future use.
Tickets are purchased using a credit or debit card, or via digital wallets such as Masterpass and Apple Pay. When boarding the bus select the ticket you want to use, activate the ticket and show it to the Operator.

How to Pay Your Fare
On Westmoreland Transit buses, the fare is always paid as you board the bus.
If you are paying with cash, deposit the exact fare into the farebox located at the front of the bus.
If you are using a 10-Trip ticket, hand your ticket to the driver. He or she will punch your ticket and return it to you.
If you are using a Monthly pass, show your ticket to the driver.
If you are using a 1/2 fare pass, please be prepared to show photo ID.
Transfers
A yellow transfer coupon is issued if you must transfer to another bus in order to complete your trip. This transfer is free and entitles you to travel within one zone in another direction. It cannot be used on the same bus for a return trip.
If you require a transfer, please inform the driver of your originating trip. Transfers are valid for one hour from the time of issue.
